We've been busy with poppy making up here in Forster-Tuncurry.Lots of people are now making poppies - knitting, crocheting and some made in felt.

Our Anglican Church and The RSL sub-branch have all been enthusiastically supporting us and contributing to costs. Thanks to the RSL donation, we'll be able to take out a half- page ad in our local newspaper, the Advocate, before the official launch on ANZAC Day as well as four smaller ones later in the year and early next year - It is after all a 12 month project for the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing by the ANZAC forces in 1915. The Advocate have recently published an article about the project as well as a photo of some of us making poppies and our ads are also being done at reduced rates - so partly sponsorship by them too.
